Description: Slender grama’s stems are distinct and extend separately from the base of the plant, usually from 2 to 12 per plant. The linear leaves alternate on the stem. The inflorescence is a heavily branched panicle.

This species provides forage to both livestock and wildlife, and may also provide cover.
